Standing still is not growth. Take a step forward.

Standing still is not growth. Take a step forward.

This was inspired by a Twitter post, and thanks to the layout of the cheezburger picture, I was able to include both sentences!

Courage means you don't let fear stop you.

At Twitter this morning, I saw a simple quote graphic with these words, and I used a cheezburger cat to make the cat graphic.

Courage means

Whatever you are scared to do . . . just do it!

Wise words from Neil Gaiman: Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, do it.

Read the whole article for a big growth mindset boost, I promise: Make Good Art: Neil Gaiman’s Advice on the Creative Life from Maria Popova's BrainPickings.

You can do it.

I read this article at Paul Sohn's blog: The Simple Phrase that Increases Effort 40%. Read the article to find out more. The key feedback that made a big difference for learners was: I’m giving you these comments because I have very high expectations and I know that you can reach them.

OK, I made a mistake.

Today's growth mindset cat is learning from mistakes:

OK, I made a mistake.
I'll do better next time.

I can accept failure; I can't accept NOT trying.

For today's cat, I started with a Michael Jordan quote and graphic (see below):

I can accept failure;
I can't accept NOT trying.

The image is from cheezburger. Here is the Michael Jordan quote I started with: I can accept failure; everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying.
